It almost goes without saying that our children blindly follow our example as parents. Even more weighty than that is the reality that they also trust us...almost without question. This un-ignorable fact of parenthood has forced me to ask myself a hard question: Am I worthy of the trust of my family? Most people want to believe they are trustworthy guardians, but many parents actually neglect to take the most basic actions when it comes to protecting their families.
