Without a Gun

Here's something that
might ruffle a few feathers...

Sometimes I carry in places that I'm not supposed to.

That's right. I'm admitting that sometimes I break the law.

Now, you may be thinking to yourself, "Tim, why on earth would
you admit in a public email that you break the law?"

Well, here's why...

In general, I am a "rule follower." What do I mean by this? I mean
that my personality type is one that likes to "follow rules."

So, while it's not easy for me to "break rules," from time to time, I'll decide to carry in places
that are posted as "gun-free" zones. Here are my decision criteria:

  1. If I'm with my family, then I'm carrying WHEREVER my family is.
  2. In my state, it's only a "Class B Forfeiture" for carrying in a posted business.
  3. I'd much rather pay a $200 fine than have to live with a lifetime of guilt for being caught in a situation where I couldn't defend my wife and kids.

Okay, now that I've gotten that off my chest, there ARE a few places
that I won't carry. I'm talking about government buildings,
commercial airports, post offices, Lambeau Field, etc.

The reason I don't carry in these places is because they have metal detectors AND
carrying in these types of places will earn me a quick trip to jail!

So, now you may be asking, "So Tim, what do YOU do
when you're forced to go unarmed?"

Simple.

I rely on the Target Focus Training that I got from Tim Larkin.

And you should too.
