Myrtle Beach robber tells woman "you're dead," runs off after victim pulls gun

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) - A would-be robber's attempt to take money from a Myrtle Beach woman early Friday morning ended after the victim pulled a gun on the suspect.

According to a Myrtle Beach police report, a woman going to work parked her car at the front of The Bagel Factory on 20th Avenue North around 3 a.m.  The victim told police a man then opened her door, demanded money and then pushed her further in the car.

The victim kicked the suspect and he then told her "You're dead," the report said.

At that point, the victim was able to reach inside her glove box, pull out a pistol and point it at the suspect, police said.

The suspect then ran away.

He is described at a white male, 5'10 and 140 pounds with a mustache.  He was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and a gray bandana.

Police said the suspect left a dark ball cap and a silver lock-blade knife inside the car.

The woman was not injured during the assault.
