What did the founding fathers know about science?

Founding Fathers Video
This coming weekend we will celebrate President's Day, remembering some of our nation's first leaders…and science! You might be surprised to learn that in America, science and democracy were forged together from the very start.   Share:     In fact, many of the Founding Fathers embraced science, unleashing the power of reason and even the laws of physics to shape an effective and responsive government. But today, these American scientific values are under attack. It's up to us to reclaim science as a core principle underlying our great nation and to employ reason and knowledge once again to help solve the many challenges we face. As you listen to President Obama's State of the Union address tonight, and celebrate President's Day this weekend, help celebrate the science that helped start it all by checking out, and sharing, our new video. —Karla
