How important is the safety and well being of your loved ones?

I ask myself this exact question on a regular basis. You know why? Because the answer to this question is my motivation to train month after month and year after year. If I carry a firearm everywhere I go but am not sharp enough to use it flawlessly in a life-threatening situation, then what guarantee do I have that I will be successful in stopping a perpetrator from doing harm to me, my family and others?

The answer is frustrating but simple: There is no guarantee.

While the thought of being unprepared to use my firearm is morbid, I also know that I have the power to avoid ever having to experience the regret that comes with a lack of preparation. All I have to do is put my intention into action.

I realize that training can get very expensive if you're not frugal, but there are also many options for anyone trying to conserve time and resources. Dry fire drills, reading, training videos on the internet; these are just a few options that can help you stay sharp and mentally prepared for whatever life may throw at you.

Whether you simply need to follow through with your intentions and get to the range, or if you need to find creative ways to train due to limitations on ammunition, time and resources, I want to encourage you to ask yourself this question: How important is the safety and wellbeing of your loved ones? After you answer that, I know you'll do whatever it takes to be as prepared as you possibly can be..
