Resident holds gun on burglary suspect

A Burkburnett man is jailed after allegedly trying to break into a home in Wichita Falls and being met by a resident with a gun.

According to a probable cause affidavit:

Wichita Falls police responded to a burglary call on Anita Street on April 30. They were told the resident was holding the suspect at gunpoint in the backyard.

The resident told officers he heard someone trying to get into the house and saw a man removing the glass from a storm door. He confronted the would-be intruder and held him until police arrived.
