Up to two-thirds of the food you buy at the grocery story every week has been genetically modified

Let's face it -- no matter how you slice it, and no matter how many billions of bucks huge corporations pour into research and marketing, there's just no copying nature. But that sure hasn't stopped Big Food fat cats from trying.

As a result, genetically modified foods have flooded our local supermarket shelves, and we have no idea what the long-term health consequences of these freakish Frankenfoods may be. Even worse, they've now taken to the airwaves in an all-out effort to squash the kind of food-labeling that would allow you and me to know exactly which foods have been monkeyed with.

If you happen to live in Dr. Wright's home state of Washington, I'm willing to bet you know exactly what I'm talking about. That's because Washington residents are currently being harassed by round-the-clock anti-labeling ads. Major food conglomerates are spending MILLIONS trying to defeat a common-sense law that simply would allow people to know whether or not the food they buy has been genetically modified.

Meanwhile, a New York Times survey found that more than nine out of every 10 Americans want to know if they're eating GMO food -- and it's not because they want more of it. GMO foods have already been linked to everything from intestinal illnesses to low sperm counts.

The truth is, up to two-thirds of the food you buy at the grocery story every week has been genetically modified. But if you're like most people, thanks to Big Food's deep pockets, that number comes as a complete surprise to you. That's because instead of being told the shocking truth about just how much of our food supply is now GMO, we're being brainwashed by ads with bogus claims that labeling is bad for farmers, or that it will cause food prices to skyrocket.

If the GMO food-labeling fight hasn't come to your state yet, you can bet dimes to donuts it's on its way. But when Big Food starts their Madison Avenue ad blitz, you know what to do now... just hit that trusty mute button.

Oh, and while you're waiting for their latest piece of propaganda to finish, take a moment to let your representative in DC know that you want them to vote "YES!" on GMO labeling.
