Well, they’ve done it again.
And no, I’m not talking about the mainstream media (for
once!).
By “they,” I mean “we.” You and me. Responsibly armed
Americans who have once again refused to allow anti-gun
bureaucrats to continue their push for ridiculous anti-gun
legislation.
You see, I don’t like when people try to control my ability to
protect my loved ones.
And you and I both know gun control just doesn’t work.
That’s why I was pleased to see the citizens of Colorado fight
back.
Remember what was happening there just a few short months ago?
Remember how patriotic voters from across the state united to
recall several key Colorado gun control advocates? Well, the
recall election of Senate President John Morse and Senator
Angela Girontwo Democrats who displayed supporrt for expanded
background checks and ammunition limitstook place oon September
10.
The results? You guessed it: A huge win for all of us.
That’s right. Colorado voters removed both state
lawmakers from office and replaced them with pro-gun
Republicans.
According to Fox News, “Colorado's historic recall of [these]
two state legislators who backed new gun restrictions may have
national repercussions, as advocates say the effort will make it
harder to revive stalled efforts in Congress to tighten firearm
laws.”
That, my friend, is what I call the “ripple effect.” It’s why
seemingly small infringements on our liberties are
dangerous. It’s also why seemingly small victories
carry great weight.
And it’s why you and I must never stop fighting for
what we believe.
Patriots in Colorado have stepped up with a resounding message:
responsibly armed Americans will continue to fight for the great
freedoms affirmed in our Constitution. Indeed, you and I will
continue to fight to protect all the things we lovelife,
liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
I’ll leave you with this great quote from Margaret Mead: “Never
doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed, citizens can
change the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.”
Way to go, Colorado.
