Convenience store clerk pulls gun, attempted robber runs

(Photo: WBIR) A convenience store clerk pulled a gun on an armed robber, sending the almost thief running out the door. According to the Knox County Sheriff's Office, the man, wearing a white face mask, came in to the Sunoco at 600 Ebenezer Road around 8:45 Sunday night. Investigators said the man indicated he had a gun and demanded cash from the register. Instead, the clerk pulled a gun in self-defense, and the suspect took off. He was last seen running south from the store, wearing a white face mask, a dark sweatshirt, grey sweatpants, and black shoes. He is 5'8"-5'10" with a thin build and approximately 18-25 years old.
