Existing Home Sales: Days on Market drops another day as home continue to sell quickly nationwide

U.S. home sales continue to recover. According to the National Association of REALTORS®, 4.89 million homes sold in the 12-month period ending May 2014 -- the fastest pace since the start of the year. In addition, the homes which sell are selling more quickly.

Last month's Median Days on Market dropped another 24 hours, putting homes on pace to sell at their fastest clip in eight months .

With mortgage rates falling below their year-ago levels, home affordability is high. It's a good time to be a home buyer.
