Experts are predicting strong growth in the global module market.

While the once leading German market continues to collapse, NPD Solarbuzz has published an optimistic forecast for global module sales. The analysts expect an increase of 30% this year compared to 2013; overall demand could reach 50 GW.

The results published in the most recent "Module Tracker Quarterly Report" show that the top 20 listed module suppliers will experience a growth of 30%, Solarbuzz says. According to the report, Chinese manufacturers such as Trina Solar, Canadian Solar, ReneSola and Jinko Solar are particularly optimistic in their forecasts, with expected peak growth rates of over 40%. According to senior analyst Ray Lian, the top 20 listed manufacturers represent two thirds of global module deliveries and provide indicators for an assessment of global market and price trends. "Assuming that the leading suppliers achieve their projected growth rates, demand will reach almost 50 gigawatts."
