Listeriosis is a life-threatening disease that has symptoms including fever, muscle ache, diarrhea, and infection. It comes with a type of infection that spreads through the intestines to the blood. This leads to a bloodstream infection, or to the central nervous system causing meningitis. Five patients at Christi St. Francis Hospital in Kansas were infected via milkshakes made with the Blue Bell Products.
