The 636-MW
Oyster Creek nuclear power plant automatically shut down
because of a turbine trip.
On May 7, an automatic scram occurred from a turbine trip.
The trip is currently under investigation, but workers say
an electrical disturbance on the non-nuclear side of the
plant may have been the cause. All backup systems responded
as designed and there was no danger to the public or to
workers.
