Sen. Cantwell Introduces Bill to Provide for Electric Grid Modernization, Security, Resiliency

Sen. Maria Cantwell , D- Wash. , has introduced legislation (S. 1241) to "provide for the modernization, security, and resiliency of the electric grid, to require the Secretary of Energy to carry out programs for research, development, demonstration, and information-sharing for cybersecurity for the energy sector."

The bill was introduced on May 7 . It was referred to the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee .
