New Islamic State Video Released After Paris Attacks: ‘We Will Strike America at Its Center in Washington’
The Islamic State has warned that countries participating in airstrikes against Syria will face the same consequences as France — specifically threatening Washington, D.C.

“We say to the states that take part in the crusader campaign that, by God, you will have a day, God willing, like France’s and by God, as we struck France in the center of its abode in Paris, then we swear that we will strike America at its center in Washington,” a man dressed in fatigues and a turban and identified in subtitles as Al Ghareeb the Algerian said, according to Reuters.
The same man also warned of more attacks in Europe.
“I say to the European countries that we are coming, coming with booby traps and explosives, coming with explosive belts and (gun) silencers and you will be unable to stop us because today we are much stronger than before,” the man said.
Another man in the video, who Reuters reported was identified in as “Al Karrar the Iraqi” had a message for French President Francois Hollande: “We have decided to negotiate with you in the trenches and not the hotels.”
The video, the authenticity of which was not immediately possible to verify, appeared on the site used by the Islamic State to post messages. It began with footage of the deadly terrorist attacks in Paris on Friday which killed more than 120 people.
Reuters reported that the video purported to be the work of Islamic State fighters in the Iraqi province of Salahuddine which is north of Baghdad.
