The Orlando shooter, Omar Mateen, 29, of Fort Pierce, Fla.,
entered the Pulse nightclub about 2 a.m. Sunday and began
shooting. He was killed by a police SWAT team.
Mateen was born in New York — and he was a U.S. citizen
whose parents were from Afghanistan. He has pledged
allegiance to the Islamic State.
In Greensboro, Trump also bashed Democrat Hillary Clinton,
who said that Republicans needed to "stand up to their
presumptive nominee."
"Hillary Clinton just yesterday used the term 'radical
Islam,'" the billionaire told the crowd. "If you don't know
what the term is and if you don't discuss what the problem
is and if you can't say the real name, we have a radical
Islam terrorism problem.
"We can say we don't and pretend like Obama that we don't —
where Obama spent a long time talking about it and nobody at
the end of the speech understood anything other than boy,
does he hate Donald Trump."
