U.S. gets tougher on undocumented immigrants

The Department of Homeland Security unveiled plans Tuesday for stricter enforcement of immigration laws. Facts on immigrants and what's ahead:

Expedited removal policy expands

Expedited removal allows undocumented immigrants to be deported immediately. Under Obama, it was enforced within 100 miles of the border and only against those in the U.S. for 14 days or less. Under Trump, undocumented immigrants can be deported from anywhere in the U.S. after being in the country for up to two years.
