The Mueller team will prosecute someone in its investigation into alleged collusion with Russia, Gingrich said.
"There are too many lawyers being paid too much money for them to go home having accomplished nothing," he added.
At another point in the interview, Gingrich discussed ties between members of Mueller's team and Hillary Clinton's campaign.
"The Mueller investigation has so many conflicts of interest, it's almost an absurdity," Gingrich said Thursday on Fox News' "Hannity."
Gingrich noted that the law firm Mueller came from, 99.81 percent of its donations went to Hillary Clinton's campaign.
Gingrich added that several of the lawyers on Mueller's team have questionable records.
"It's hard to understand why he would assemble such a team unless it was a deliberate effort to go after the president and the president's team," Gingrich said.
